Waterloo Children's Photographer: Two little personalities, Two little beauties

These two little gorgeous girls hold a special place in my heart.  They are the brand new twins of my very good friends.  And already their little personalities are starting to show.  Little N is laid back, relaxed and up for anything.  Sweet, little Q is a more sensitive to what's going on around her, likes to be VERY warm and cozy (none of that naked baby stuff for her).  All this made for an exceptionally fun photo shoot.  Although, I'm not going to lie - I was nervous the night before.  Afterall, how do you get two little babies, with two personalities to be sleepy enough at the same time to get the super-amazing-fantastic-wonderful shot I had hoped for.  The answer is patience and a space heater!

But seriously now - the girls were incredible for their first (of many) photo shoots and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Oroth and Angela, it was amazing to see you in action.  You are going to be the best parents those girls could ever ask for!  I'm so elated for you!  Please enjoy a few of my favourite shots!

Elmira Children's Photographer. My kids on the wall

As a children's photographer, my walls should be filled with images of my kids, but the truth is I'm really busy taking care of my business, my clients and my family.  And I'm missing that.  I'm missing seeing their beautiful faces on my walls.  I'm missing showing off their connection to one another and to Joe and I.  And I'm missing showing off their cuteness.

So as I've made it my mission to ensure my clients images end up on their walls, I've started to do the same in my house.  I recently purchased 3 canvases to display on my livingroom wall; one of each of their beautiful faces.  I love it, I love it, I love it!

These are, by far, the best canvas products I've seen.  Local, lovely and so beautifully created by the talented folks at Photo Media Decor.  I recently took a tour of their work space and true care is taken when creating these beautiful pieces of art.

Here are a few shots of these awesome pieces.

Waterloo Maternity Photographer: Two Babies!

Angela felt nervous, slightly uncomfortable and a little hesitant before her maternity session last week.  Oroth was excited to capture this beautiful moment in their lives.  Naturally having two babies inside you very near to the end of your pregnancy means you don't feel the most glamorous and graceful - but the truth is all mamas-to-be look amazing to me.  They look beautiful and glowey and absolutely stunning.  And Angela is no exception.

We met at their Waterloo home and spent some time in their living room, nursery and backyard.  We made sure Momo wasn't left out either.

Angela, you look incredible and I can't wait to meet your two sweeties so very soon! Oroth, you will make an amazing dad.  Please enjoy a few of my favourite shots.

Waterloo Children's Photographer: A little snow and a few smiles

Ahhhhh! I love this family!  I'm so sad that they are leaving the province, but happy that they are going to experience a new adventure.

The week before they left, we met one more time to get some great family winter shots.

It was a chilly, windy day and little A needed some snuggles - but mom and dad didn't mind.

Kristy and Derek - It has been wonderful getting to know you and photograph your growing family.  I wish you all the best as you settle into your new home. Please enjoy a few of my favourites!

Elmira Children's Photographer. Fun, jumping, and big personalities

Five year old K skipped and jumped and told me how excited she was the moment I came in the door.  "We're not ready, yet"  She stated, As I lugged my bags into their living room.  "Don't worry, I still have to set up"  I told her.  She seemed relieved, but that didn't calm her skipping and jumping.  I immediately told her mom - this is what we want.  And that I have no expectations for behaviour - in fact, the goofier they are - the better the images.  Little G smiled and followed me as I set up my "studio on the go".  He was very helpful with some of the smaller bags!

These two cuties were so fun to photograph.  And I love how their images really showcased their personalities.

Carey, It was a pleasure to meet you and chat.  The kids were awesome and I hope you are enjoying your photos.  Here are a few of my favourites.
